My family history provided by More Than a Name Genealogy was so helpful when we visited Poland. Our local guide took us to the birthplaces of my Great Grandparents, and local priests showed us family baptismal records from the 1800s. With the detailed information we had in hand, people were much more willing to assist us.

My wife and I spent three weeks in Scotland in September 2024.  Prior to our trip I provided More Than a Name with the information I had regarding my Scottish ancestors from the time they arrived in the New World in 1775.  Using this information as a starting point, Liesel Seryak was able to trace my family history in Scotland back into the early 1600s.  In addition to names and dates, she provided baptism and marriage records that allowed us to identify the probable villages and counties in which they lived.  During our trip we had a great time visiting these and getting a sense of what the countryside looked like.  Time walking through old, old cemeteries was also a treat.  Liesel’s work really helped bring my family history in Scotland to life!

I was interested in finding out information about my grandfather and his family. As a result of her detailed research, Liesel was able to fill in many gaps in my family tree. Her research was thorough, professional, and gave us insight to what life was like in the place and time for these ancestors. I appreciated Liesel's clear communication of the  documents and evidence, as well as the family tree graphic.  Thank you to Liesel for her enthusiasm and comprehensive genealogy research!

Liesel Seryak was such a great help and support to me in seeking to gain official documents from Slovenia of my grandparents' and great grandparents' ancestry.  I will need these official documents as I am in the process of seeking a dual citizenship in the near future. Mrs. Seryak was professional, very easy to communicate with, and timely in her responses.
